Can I enjoy the Spa and Bathhouse if I am not staying at the hotel?
Absolutely! Visitors can purchase a pass and book an appointment here.
Does a soaking appointment include sauna access?
Yes! After enjoying the sauna guests will need to rinse off in the shower prior to entering the pools in order to help keep our pools clean. This includes the Cold Plunge.
When is the spa closed?
Every Tuesday the spa is closed 11:30am-4:30pm to both public and hotel guests. The hot pool is closed on the first Tuesday of every month from 7:00am-4:30pm. The warm pool is closed on the second Tuesday of every month from 7:00am-4:30pm.
Can I book for a group?
Yep. Group bookings for 6 or more guests must contact us directly via email – [email protected]
Are there massage treatments available?
Not currently. But we’ll announce if that ever changes!
Are Towels Provided?
Yes! Towels are provided, and if you forgot your swimsuit: don’t worry, we have women’s, men’s and children’s swimsuits available for purchase.
Are there Changing Rooms and Showers?
We have a locker room with restrooms, changing rooms, showers, hair dryer and a swimsuit spinner.
Are Swimsuits Required?
Yes, but again, if you forgot one, we have them available to purchase.
Note on swimsuit care:
Salt, chlorine and heat can damage swimwear. Please protect your suit from possible damage by limiting exposure to salt, chlorine and heat if you can, and skip the hot pool and sauna if you are wearing an expensive suit. Always rinse with cold water before and after swimming, and wash your suit after every use if you can.
Age Requirements?
All ages are welcome, although it is recommended that children under 6 years old do not use the Jacuzzi. Infants and toddlers are required to wear swim diapers; which are available for purchase at the hotel if needed. Children under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
Adults-Only Hours?
From 8:30pm-10:30pm, only guests ages 18 and up are allowed in the spa.
What are the temperatures of the Pools?
Cold Plunge: 54 degrees
Warm Pool: 95 degrees
Hot Pool: 104 degrees
Are the Pools Chlorinated?
Our Warm Pool and Hot Pool are both saltwater pools. Saltwater pools do contain small amounts of chlorine and are much gentler on the eyes and skin than traditional chlorinated pools.
Is there anything to eat or drink?
We have a small café in the Spa that serves a selection local kombucha on tap, electrolyte beverages and hot tea. For a wider selection of food and beverages, please visit our Lobby Café. The Spa is an alcohol-free space but we encourage guests to enjoy a pre-soak or post-soak beverage in our Lobby. Outside food and beverages are not allowed in the Spa. Only water is allowed to be enjoyed in the pools, thank you for helping to keep our pools clean.
Can I smoke/vape?
You may not. The Society Hotel is a non-smoking property.
